At the beginning of new millennium, globalization is phenomena which dramatically identifies a spirit of time and significantly shapes a policy, economy and global social life, although unevenly and with different consequences. Expansion of the market over all planet, piling of wealth in small number of countries with disproportion between rich and poor, increasing power and influence of transnational corporations and capital movement into undeveloped areas, are just some of characteristics of this phenomena.
This phenomena has extraordinary dynamics of social developments, processes and changes occurred in new forms of political organization, in emerging of new needs, standards and quality, shortly, in all aspects of life. One of such social processes which marked the previous period is, for sure, the transition period, very conflict period, controversial and turbulent and which seized all countries of Central and South-East Europe, changing permanently their economical, social and political character. This process, which had started symbolically and actually by demolition of Berlin Wall, undoubtedly demolished many social, economical, political and moral walls, although such obstacles still exist in the system of values, way of life and social practice as a whole.
However, regardless to strong tempo in development of these processes, creation of global village and disappearance of small companies is still not on horizon, so there is still real need for a number of business entities, not just small and mid enterprises, in completely new market conditions. These new conditions are reflected in strengthening in liberation of global economy, institutionalization of EU mechanisms, implementation of CEFTA Agreement, increased competition, importance of marketing and similar.
These are economical reasons for connection of business entities on the territory of former Yugoslavia, South-East and Central Europe and wider.
Slovenia, EU member state, STO member and member of the group of development countries is a driving force and the first initiator in connecting of business entities of the former Yugoslavia. This project is successful for several years. It started with Serbia, expended to Bosnia and Herzegovina and existing experience and economic indicators show that the project has to be expended further on, to all countries of former Yugoslavia and wider as well.
Basic motive of business entities is entering to market as well as existence end generating of the profits. However, due to total economic trends, global financial and economic crisis which seized even this region, strong competition and total process that govern it is not easy at all. Therefore connecting of business entities in these areas remains an imperative, single chance for successful operations.
Initiator of connection of business entities were foresighted in their venture and publishers of new business catalogue “Business partners from Slovenia” have to take an obligation to spread it to other countries in the region. At the same time I use an opportunity to congratulate to publishers of the business catalogue on successfully developed project up to date.
